Lawrence Temple – Piano
Congrats to Lawrence Temple – our January 2025 Student Spotlight! Here is what his teacher, Ms. Yuan, had to say:
“Lawrence just passed the RCM Theory Level 5 and is preparing for RCM Piano Level 6 this summer. It has been a busy year for him as he embraces new experiences, adding football to his schedule while excelling in school, piano, and assisting with his school drama shows. We have been having lessons over Zoom for the last 4-5 months while working on RCM. Lawrence quietly takes on all kinds of challenges, but his hard work and resilience have distinguished him among his peers. I’m excited to see what this new year brings for him in his life and musical journey!”

– How long have you been taking piano lessons?
I’ve been taking lessons for 10 years.
– What do you love most about playing the piano?
I love being able to understand the voice of a song and then incorporating it when I play.
– What do you like about Flourish?
What I like most about Flourish is my teacher, Ms. Yuan.
– What is your favorite music to sing with or listen to? What about favorite artists?
My favorite artist is Kendrick Lamar.
– What else do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy reading, working out, playing video games, Kung Fu, and kickboxing.
