Katherine is a piano and voice teacher who prioritizes building confidence and nurturing personal growth alongside skill development, believing that joy comes before mastery. She tailors lessons to each student’s goals, learning style, and creative expression, fostering confidence and providing a strong foundation in music theory and basic composition.
Katherine has guided students in performance, public speaking, creative writing, study skills, and more. She holds a B.A. in Vocal Performance from Fort Lewis College and has earned recognition as a Toastmasters Award recipient and CRLA-certified Tutor II. Katherine has performed widely, including solo recitals, guest singing with Quadrivium, choral work with Quintessence and the San Juan Symphony, and performances with Roshni’s Empathy Project and Annual New American Arts Festival. She is especially excited to work with students on historical and foreign-language music, helping them discover the joy of making music they love.
